Does anyone think that Abers should meet up somewhere for a get together or is half the fun staying anonymous. I'm sure we would have a lot to talk about. Apart from the usual one or two who are rude or stupid the overwhelming majority are good fun and have great points to raise. I often log on when I have a point that need answering and am very rarely disappointed. On one occasion 3 years ago An Aber answered a health question for me which saved me a trip to the doctor and much worry and expense. I personally think it is a great "virtual community" Any thoughts??
I am not sure that meeting up would be a good idea, unless the people who like to wind everyone up did not attened otherwise i imagine that there would be a huge punch up after the drinks had been flowing for a while.
I'm begining to wonder if there are only 2 or 3 members on here - just posting with different aliases.
Just book a small room, or maybe a telephone box.
Glad this site helped you, it helped me a couple of months ago when I joined. That's why I'm still here.
It is addictive though, may have to go and see my doctor about ABaddiction. lol
yes it has been suggested many times before, i also can imagine that some sad gits would have copies of hundreds of pages from this site and go round looking for people they had ,had a virtual argument with and want to carry it on in real life, there would be blood in the streets ha ha
imagine all the split personalities in that room !!
half of the people would be asking a question and answering themselves !
plus, if invites were sent to 300members, there would only be 100 in attendance if everyone accepted !!!!!
:-)
forks would be ok but i doubt they'd leave any knives in the room with us! a no sharp instruments rule would come into play!
to answer the question though, there are loads on here i would love to meet but probably many more i would prefer not to! :-)
