Why am I attracted to the wrong type of guy?

Hi, I am here for a good old moan, Sorry!!! Just finished a relationship, shortest one ever 2 months!!!! Met my usual type 'wide boy, jack the lad' and, as usual, thought this would be different. Boy was I wrong!!! What makes us go for the same types all the time? I am so cross with myself for even considering a relationship, but I did it regardless. Am even more fed up cos we were supposed to be going out tonight and I'm stuck indoors on my own. All my mates are in relationships and married/kids etc so weekends aren't the fun they used to be I'm afraid. Obviously feeling bit sorry for myself, but feel better for writing it down. I just want a 'nice guy' but everyone else finds them except me!! Where am I going wrong??

i wish i could offer advice kayvee, but as i'm in pretty much the same situation as yourself (no man, a string of flings with all the bad ones, friends all in relationships and stuck on my own on a saturday night with only a pack of malboro lights and a bottle of red for company!!!) it would be like the blind leading te blind. you're not the only one.

Probably not your fault your just meeting idiots.
Im sort of in the same boat the other way round though i now just go out and have a laugh.
All my old mates are married kids and i have new mates and some have women others dont.
Ive sort of given up now and what will be will be i used to think and still do are women from another planet.
But i guess you are saying that about us men

Hi, thanks to you all for your replies, I know I'm not alone, but boy it sure feels like it on a Saturday night!! I'm sure there is 'someone' out there, but the frogs keep getting in the way!!! Let's hope we all find our Mr/Mrs Right, and soon!

of course kay and when u do it will be worth it besides relatonships are not rosey all the time. having to explain yourself arguments etc so rnjoy your freedom it will not be forever xx

This is just a guess but emotion often cancels out logic. So logically you might want a nice guy. A "jack the lad" might give you better emotions though. Attraction isn't a choice.
