Music lover hypocricy.
11 Answers
Does anyone else think that it's a bit hypocritical for society to judge and look down on your average joes for taking recreational drugs on a night out but then, the same people turn around and claim they love a certain bands music, when half the songs that band ever wrote and recorded was done while thay were mashed off their faces on coke or whatever. Naming no names, but we all know it's happened/happening. By the way, this is not an anti drug rant.

People who are against drugs aren't just being critiical you know, they really care for others and know how people's lives can be destroyed. You'll find the majority of people who voice their opinion have lived this through a close member of family or friend.
Recreationa drugs are a danger, not just to the taker, but others as well, especially if the taker is in employment.
I work for London Underground. and we have random Drugs ans Alcohol tests, if someone is found positive, (drugs), they are sacked instantly, and quite right, and thats just one workplace.
As far as music is concerned, unfortunately, standards have slipped, and I agree with what you say.

Look people, I'm not talking about drugs as a problem in society. My specific problem goes like this. Some guy says "You shouldn't be taking drugs, they mess up your mind" while at the same time he's listening to an (e.g Oasis) album, saying how brilliant the music is. Let's not mess about, more than half of that album was probably created through drug useage.
