Steer well clear or before you know it you'll be roped in.
Germany and Belgium all officially regard Scientology as a totalitarian cult, the French Government report as a dangerous cult and in the UK they do not meet the requirements to be a charity.
I'd advise you not to go out of curiosity either I know a couple of people who did - they were split up from each other and given quite a scary hard sell.

Avoid it like the plague.
Dianetics is a very clever way of trapping the vulnerable and unwary into the Scientology Church.
They start off with a very long list of questions (called a personality test) to which you will answer 'yes' in at least half of them because of the way they are worded. The idea is to determine the state of your mind. After you've completed the questionaire, you will agree that you are on the verge of a breakdown - or need urgent help - so you join them, giving them your money, plus giving up friends and family.
Most Saturday afternoons they will be handing out leaflets in Poole High Street (huge church there) or Bournemouth Square. You say 'no' to them and see their reaction. Very unpleasant people.
