Suspicious letter

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone else has received a letter of a similar type to one I received this week.

It claims to be from a solicitors' agents firm, and it asks that I phone a number "concerning urgent documents that seem to have gone astray".

They are not registered on the Law Society's register as actual solicitors. I Googled the firm and found hardly any details Has anyone experienced anything like this before? I'd like to hear anyone's opinion before deciding whether to phone this firm.

Its probably a premium rate number or gets routed via Venuzuela so it costs you a fortune.

It's basically junk mail so just bin it.

Do you also get e-mails from the Internal Revenue Dept. of U.S.A. telling you you have a refund?

I have had three this week advising me to make a claim for three different amount, all around $250. Having never even been to America, I declined their offer.

Sounds like junk to me. If it was a letter from a solicitor they would actually explain what it was about and what documents they are talking about.

Put the letter another envelope and post it back with no stamp as it's junk mail .If the phone number is premium rate they are scammers . Will cost you �1.50 a minute . I've had loads of email from Nigeria telling me that some one has mega bucks left to them , and please send �I K to help get it back and I will get �50 K back !!!! of course I have sent the money !!!

i got an email fom a really nice nigerian man who knew of all this money that had been left to someone with the same surname as me and offered me �5 MILLION (theonlyone ,i think you are being conned at �50K !!!! )

My advice on these sort of things is if you have a genuine concern that the letter may be genuine, use a public phone box if it is a premium rate number you won't waste anything other than a 20p.
