Its about time this nasty racist, hate-filled 'lawyer' got a taste of his own medicine.for too long he has been in the public arena spouting his hatred , and getting away with it.politicians seem to be scared of him and fail to see the contempt on his face.he seems to forget his law degree was paid for by the citizens of this country who welcomed his parents and grandparents many years ago.I would be willing to put together a fund to pay for his plane fare back to his ancestral home if he doesnt like our views or way of life!

last week he stood outside a court when a scottish-born muslim fanatic got jailed on terrorism charges.he basically insulted the judicial system in public, the one he claims to belong to.now they are after him, contempt of court etc, hope its not just lip service and they get rid of this nasty piece of work.a few less homegrown terrorists might not exist because he gets jailed!hope so!

This is the most recent info I could find. (cant post a link as I seem to have lost that ability) this was in the Herald
"After two weeks of deliberation over whether contempt of court had been committed, the judge today passed the decision to the High Court in Edinburgh.
Lord Carloway said a panel of three judges could eventually be convened to make a final ruling"
Doesn't sound as if the judicial system is too anxious to come to a decision about whether they should or shouldn't criticize a member of their own.
sandyg2244 . I think you are going to be disappointed if you hoped execution and deportation is going to be the answer, looks more likely a rap over the knuckles if anything

You know...I didn't read Sandy's question properly.
It's only when I read EricaNurney's post, that it dawned on me what you were saying.
The thrust seems to be, if you don't like it here, even if you were born here, you can get out.
Furthermore, you assume that it was your hard-earned taxes that paid for this chap to go to law school.
Do you think on some level, you're being a bit naive.
Lastly, how the hell do you spell niave/naive?

What did he do? - He complained the he didn't think his client got a fair trial. He later apologised. The judge, Lord Carloway said the remarks made by Mr Anwar were his personal views. He was exercising his right to freedom of speech.
You may not like Mr Anwar and what he says, but if he is convicted of contempt of court which I doubt he will be, then it is hardly a deportation offense. National newspapers are rapped for contempted of court all the time and you do not hear calls for their Editors to be put on a plane to their ancestral home.
Without freedom of speech we would be no better than the dictatorships of Saudi Arabia or Kuwait.
Do you really want us to end up like a fundamentalist Arab state?

what a bunch of ignorant ***** commenting on things you havent even researched.i didnt want teenagers commenting on my post, or any substandard adults either with the mind of a ten year old.go get a life.when we get our next terrorrist bombing i hope its not your mum, granny, uncle who is a victim next.you do know youre defending a terrorist-sympathiser/procurer
What did you expect?
You're the one that hasn't done any research.
You posted 3 questions about him, which are all rants.
He didn't think his client had a fair trial, and said so.
You now want him deported to his "ancestral home" wherever that is.
Having misjudged the mood on here, you're now off on another rant.
Scots are usually noted for their common sense, but its deserted you on this one.
