Are you easily offended?

Would you consider yourself easily offended or do you not often find offense in other people's remarks and statements? Does anyone think that they would never be offended by anyone's remarks?

i am sensitive too. things people say can hurt even if you know it is not aimed at you directly and is not personal. sometimes statements can include nasty commenst which might not even be about me or my ethnic group or culture or colour but i feel offended at what they have said. purely because it would have looked to been intended to be offensive.

other times i can see that someone is trying to be funny and it might well be. offensive is a fine line where someone just oversteps that mark.

thats not very nice. offensive in fact. who is to say that we don't have lives and enjoy them. did it make you feel big and clever by swearing and saying that.

I can imagine being upset if my wife or kids were insulted but I can't think of anything that would upset me. My ego is so huge I think of others opinions of me as silly.

A few months ago, I was called an idiot by one of the "favourite" posters on here.
I don't know what upset him, as he is usually pretty rational.
It has hurt me deeply and I am still trying to come to terms with it.
He has now gone down in my estimation, as I feel his insensitivity was totally uncalled for.

I'm sensitive to other people getting upset and go out of my way to avoid causing it, but rarely get offended myself - not so much thick-skinned as laid back. Life's too short.
