Should Muslims accept benefits?
38 Answers
Muslims don't believe in getting money for nothing. For example, they don't charge interest on loans.
So can they accept benefits because that is getting money for nothing?
And, one of their pillars is Zakah. In which they should give a percentage of their salary to charity. If it is a Muslim charity can the Muslims accept the money as that is also money for nothing?
Thankyou.

Islamic law bans usury, as I believe Christianity used to do (that's how Jews got into the moneylending business in the middle ages: they were the only ones allowed to). They don't believe in collecting interest. This has nothing much to do with benefits, or with charity. Like anyone else, they pay the state taxes when they're flush and go on the dole when they're unemployed.
