For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Just put 'best man's speech' in Google, and you'll get plenty of material to look at. For the record (and from experience!) be nice, be clean, be brief, be sincere, and be seated. Stick to those simple rules, and you'll be OK. If you;re not a natrual joke teller, leave them out, and for gawd's sake don't pick that day to tell eveyone that time when (insert your own anecdote here!) or you'll risk ruining the day, and your friendship. It's not your day of attention, it's the bride's, so think of that when you make your speech. Good luck!
Another suggestion, there are books with sample speeches, you can borrow them from your local library or buy them from WH Smith if you are in the UK. I don't know any websites off hand but you could invest in a bridal magazine (I think there is one dedicated to grooms - check with one of the larger branches of WH Smith or similar). These magazines often have feature articles on best man's duties including the speech and they may well have websites listed on them. I'll post a msg if I find any on one of my "Brides" mags.
Try this website www.confetti.co.uk; click on the tab "men" and you will see that it lists best men - how to make a killer speech! There are lots of other websites, www.coolwhite.com, www.bridesuk.net, www.weddingguide.co.uk, www.wedding-pages.co.uk, www.weddings.co.uk, I am afraid I have not visited them for a while as I have not got the time, may I suggest you visit the sites and see if they have a men's or best men's section with advice.
