Apparently there seems to be a consensus amongst some ABers that Muslims require the British way of life to change, that they are a danger to our society etc etc.

Can you let me know how your life has changed since Muslims have been coming into the country.

And I do mean your not "what your neighbour said about his sister's uncle's mate who he met in a pub"

I wouldn't have a clue, because they were here before I was even thought of.

So when did you buy your house, how much for and what is it worth now? How many Muslims are in the area?

Oh my God - more cars in the last 10 years? Can't believe it for a minute.

So if you're house was purchased 20 years ago, it hasn't devalued (deflated) at all has it?

I also seriously doubt that your house has devalued since 10 years ago.

Can I ask where you live (town)

I would be interested to hear if you, OEV, live in an 'ethnic' area ? You seem to have a ruddy great chip on your shoulder.
when I took my girlfriend to keighley park for a walk a group of about 10 of them started calling her a sl@g and asking for a Bl0w j0b. I grew up in keighley and used to be a nice place but nowe its a total dive but its nothing to do with the massive growth of the muslim community. Oh and similar situation happened to my brother and he said something back and ended up with a broken arm. there are also no white areas in keighley.
Before the muslims arrived I iused to have to endure bigoted nonsense about brainless bogtrotters, murderous Micks and Psychopathic Paddys, Potato Heads and ***********.

They all wanted to kill us and blow us up and it was permissible to round anyone up who vaguely resembled a Shilaeli Hugger and lock them up for 25 years. We were being swamped by them. They were taking our jobs and living on our benefits.

Fortunately, I was able to bury my head in the sand and they went away.

Whiffey - I live in Great Yarmouth - one of the most deprived areas in the country (in fact we are in the bottom 3%).

It is not particularly ethnic - there are a lot of Portuguese here, a few Polish and a few Kosovans. There are very few Asians or Blacks.

Before this I lived in Northampton - a fairly multi ethnic area. The majority of problems in that town were (and I believe still are) down to youth who are mainly white British.

Now that I have answered your question, can you answer mine?

8ball - How can I believe you? Is your house devalued from the price you purchased it for? Is it worth less now than 10 years ago - when they moved in to the area?

Is it the fact that they are taxis that annoy you - presumably they are working then and not dole scrounging? Would it annoy as much you if they didn't have any cars?
Well I live with one and I have to say she has effected my life with her endless hyperactivity, general prattle and rougish sense of humour. She's great company.

I currently live in Surrey and can say that the problems round here are generally due to the young, white lads hanging around on all corners til stupid o'clock but actually they're quite friendly really. I came home late the other day struggling with bags and dropped one and a couple of the lads in the gang of hoodies very kindly picked it up, took another bag from me and carried it to my door. I was a little shocked but was quite well put in my place when I was told that just because there was a gang of them didn't mean they were 'out to cause any trouble.' They just didn't have anywhere to go. I live opposite a fairly run down and poor estate.

Before that I lived most of my life in south east london in peckham. There was a lot of black crime there. I put that down to it having a large black community and a lot of poverty. Plus there's not a hell of a lot for the kids to do either and it makes them easy pickings for some of the low lives around there.

I did spend some time in luton which I believe does have a high muslim population. I didn't live there long enough to form much of an opinion but I imagine if you're living in a poor area with nothing to do and you're young then you'd be easy pickings there too. Especially if you're being constantly told how unwelcome you are in a country that you've actually been born in.

I may well be burying my head in the sand but I still think I see a pattern.
I have extensively travelled South east asia and guess which area were the most unsafe and not welcomming areas were?! You guessed it

They haven't affected my life in any way shape or form - I live in a predominately white area.

The only problem we have are with the pikey chavs who try to make the town centre a 'no go' area every Saturday night.

However, I'm intrigued OEV - you ask the question, 3ight8ball answers you (we have to assume truthfully - why wouldn't we?) and you decide to, effectively, call him or her a liar.

Why?
Question Author
I have not called him / her a liar.

I have pointed out that there are more cars (and taxis) on the road now than there were 10 years ago.

I have also tried to point out that despite their original answer, it seems that their property has probably not devalued in 10 years (though it may not have raised in value at the same rate as other areas - this is not the same thing.)

I am attempting to find out if people are just buying into media hype, or if there really is a problem.

From what I can see (and the answers so far) it seems to be predominately media hype.
Can't go to Trafford centre on bus during their silly festivals eades or something.

Aggressive arrogant load of sh1ts. Kill the lot of them.

Well that is what they would do to us.
