Refering to the fact that there was an Army recruitment campain taking place at some Asian carnival. George Galloway stated (on his Radio phone-in programme) that it was disgusting that the Army was trying to recruit young Asians to fight and kill people who looked the same as them.

Why should the Army not recruit from all ethnic minority groups are most of them not British? They should wear their uniform with pride, regardless of their skin colour. Didn't that soldier who won the Victoria Cross have a black skin?

Is Galloway now completely off his rocker? Is he now saying that it is OK to fight and kill as long as they look different to one's self? How did we managed during WW2 the Germans looked just the same as the white British.

There is no logic in his argument. As you rightly point out, WW2 is a point in case.
Does he really mean the 'same religion?' Once again we can use the WW2 example.
He should go back to lapping imaginary milk from Rula Lenska's imaginary bowl....!

The Army does recruit from Ethnic minoritys such as The Gurkhas. But then treats them like CRAP when it cones to paying them such things a proper wage and Pension
The MOD is basically a bunch of ******* who want things done on the cheap so they can live the high live in their offices..

There is absolouely no logic in what he's saying, suicide bombers are killing their own people in Iraq, the Irish were killing each other for years.
Galloway ia very vain man and a bully. I hate him, I once saw him on Question Time on B.B.C.1 and woman in the audience disagreed with him, he tried to shout at her and shout her down, she stood firm and won through (you go girl!) even his own supporters get tired of him, I understand the Respect Party has split into two now.
I'd love it if him and Tommy Sheridan got caught in the middle of a daisy chain during a dogging session in a Gorbals car park!

IF asians are integrated into our multicultural society then they should have no problems being in the army , My personal thoughts are that few of them actually are integrated to the extent they would fight for this country , which is a shame, perhaps I am wrong ???
either way we should not be interfering in other countries problems and put all our efforts into finding a sustainable fuel for our vehicles, that way we will not have a need to be sucking up to countries to keep the oil flowing , I look forward to the day when we can let them get on with it .....

I didn't hear the phone-in and would rather not comment on rough paraphrasing, but George Galloway isn't all bad.

The roasting that he gave the US Senate, tearing into their pomposity and hypocrisy, makes him alright in my book.
