I didnt know where to put this question so i thought id ask you lovely people!!
My very best friend is getting married soon im her maid of honour....my main problem is the gift! I have NO idea what to get her! I want to get her something amazing and something i know NOONE else would have got her?
Any of you guys got any ideas or brought gifts that have gone down brilliantly??
How about put together a book of their lives? You can start by putting stories and photos of the bride and groom from when they was born and through their childhood to when they met. Then finish by putting in stories and photos of their relationship together ending with their wedding. Leave some pages at the end so they can add to it. Things like their wedding anniversaries and the birth of any children they may have. You can get stories and photos from friends and family of the both of them :)
Lovely idea Psychick. I never buy a present fromsomeone's list and carefully choose something totally non functional but something that I know will be very much appreciated for years to come.
Psy - actually I did, one of the blokes in the drawing office was getting married and I couldnt think of anything to get as I didnt know him well but was invited to the reception, I thought it was very funny, I think I also put in an adult drinking game
When I got married I had a wedding list. Most people chose from the list (20 years later I am still using the clothes airer). A few people tried to be imaginative and buy something they thought was great that wasn't on the list - and failed miserably (ungrateful wretch aren't I). I was much happier with the small boring things I really wanted. When my BF got married I bought her lots of the small kitchen items that were on her list and she was over the moon because she thought she wouldn't get them (because they seemed boring). My 'never fails' pressie is always a silver picture frame. Regardless, hope you all have a lovely day.
I bought an unusual ceramic pot as an
engagement gift ..quite tall and heavy ...
they still have it as fits in with decor ...
I bought it in France and had to lug the
thing home ..but it's different ...
