Hello everyone

i'm going out in newcastle in a few weeks, since having my little boy i've totally lost touch with clothing for nights out. Can anyone tell me if its still ok to wear jeans? i'm a bit worried i'm going to look out of place.

Yes, it is. Jeans with a glam top look great.

And they mean that you can do the "two looks in one" thing:

I'm casuall and relaxed, because I'm in jeans, but ...

look at my top ... I'm up for a smart night out.

Okay, just Googled it.

It's where they have coal, and drink something called Newkee Broon.

They call children "bairns".

There was a band called Lindisfarne.

I am now the fount of all knowledge to do with Newcastle. I am almost an honourary Geordie. Wey aye man. Howay the lads.

I think you may be overdressed in jeans.

The general rule for women in these northern climes is to wear as little as possible.

This rules also applies in the middle of winter.

I am selling my flat in Brighton and moving to Newcastle (stressed vowel on the "a" ) where I will be able to buy a five bedroom, detached house with a garage and stables.
