Shoot the Scum - Brazil style
Just watched on Channel 4 News, in Brazil they are not cautioning or putting on probation young thugs, they are shooting them dead on the streets. Excellent I say. I do believe that if we completely ignore gun/knife crime in Britain it will be little worse than permitting scum to wipe each other out, but should we encourage our police to shoot to kill to accelerate the process? I realise OF COURSE that there is much more gun/knife crime committed by whites than by Black and Minority Ethnic people, but the press seems to be negligent in reporting it.

If this were applied to the UK, how many people do you think would be killed for doing nothing more than looking dodgy (or not being white, according to you)? Or hanging around dodgy people? How would you go about targetting people who have actually broken the law rather than the 'napalm' tactic you're advocating.
Also, exactly how successful has a long time trigger-happy police force been in Brazil?
Shooting first always leaves a lot more questions to be answered later. It's that kind of mob mentality which I find really irritating.
