What do you think of Global Warming

What do you think of Global Warming today? It's snowing out there already.

I wasn't going to answer this, but....

Look, the term "Global Warming" is the name given to the generalised trend towards higher climatic temperatures caused by man made activities.

Within that trend, there are the normal variations in seasonal weather systems.

So... yes it's snowing, yes it's November, no, it's not unusual. Global Warming continues apace.

The previous November snow here in the north of England was towards the end of November 1993. We had some 6 inches but it quickly thawed.
This year's was exceptional and I believe we have to go back 30 years for the equivalent.
70% of the Earth is water and there are vast areas of land where there are no human beings. So we are insignificant in relation to the size of the earth and we can no real affect on the climate.
But some people are making money by speaking and writing about 'global warming'. Any warming is obviously a cycle of nature.

Global warming is alarming ...With the recent melt down of tonnes of glaciers in greenland and the increase of the ocean levels ...we are soon reaching a frightenin state of not bequeathin a liveable world to our children! We probably may not be alive to witness the disaster though!

Well, everyone used to talk about 'global warming' but people didnt notice it getting much warmer so the term was changed to 'climate change' which can encompass any naturally occurring event such as flood, wind, rain, snow etc etc. Cold day in July? Climate change. Mild day in winter? Climate change.

Once individuals or businesses start making money (or a career in the case of Al Gore) then people's level of scepticism kicks in I'm afraid.

A couple of thousand years ago (around the time of the Romans) it was warmer in Britain than it is now apparently.
