Who has caused all this controversy? Its not the people but a paper that is full of crap. Crap Of the World.
Follow this one through a little way. It will undoubtedly be agreed by all that PH made a disgusting racist statement (not complained about at the time, but heyho political correctness knows no boundaries). He will get a drubbing down, rather severe I hope.

I have the solution, it is in several parts. (BME = Black and/or Ethnic Minority)

- appoint BME to all positions of influence or power, i.e. Prime Minister, MPs, all company directors etc

- remove White people from all positions of influence or power, i.e. as above ect.

- create a new creed - "all black good, all white bad".

I can see no fault with this. It will lead on to the highly desirable situation where BME will be able to forge and shape the future of Britain without the annoying interference of white people. And all state benefits will at last be funded by those most requiring them.
but why did he have to say the *P* word? and not use heres my BRITISH Friend? the word that Harry used had always been an offensive word to Asian people. he may have used a racist wrd but he didnt say it as an offensive way. so it probably blown out of proportion, but u know our society's changed.......

you cant even sing .... bla bla 'black' sheep anymore

im Chinese if someone called me a Chink...... i would find it extreemly offensive.... but i know some chinese friends who dont mind it. BUT i HATE it.
WhiteBear, or anyone, could you explain to me what "British Asian" means? Are these British or Asian? You can't be both. Unless of course you want to pick up the benefits of being British and not lose the extra positive discriminatory benefits of having a black skin.

Gormless- British Asians are the ones who are born in UK or are British Citizens

i would called my self British Chinese cos I'm born in the UK.

did u know that in some applications you can select your race?

well you get:
Black
British Black,
Asians
British Asians
etc....
Chinese

although some chinese would select they are Asians,..... but i would select myself as Oriental.

but what gets me is that why is there no option for British Chinese?

Chinese and British Chinese are different
as well as the langauge Chinese and Cantonese. they are completley different langague.

Thanks for that reply, WoWo. So the inhabitants of that country have no historical affinity with a name that was imposed on it. That explains a lot, and I find it strange that I've personally not come across that explanation in any of the media. If only they'd developed a sense of pride in the name for their new nation...
My brother once contacted the Job Centre in Liverpool and asked for 6 packers. He was a bit surprised but not bothered that he was sent 6 Pakistanis. It transpired later that the Job Centre had err misunderstood.
I'm not a particular fan of the royals and couldn't care less about their lives. However, once again someone bleats it from the rooftops about a slip of the tongue. Do any of you really think he said it with any kind of malice or use the word insultingly?....no, thought not. I don't know what the squealers hope to achieve here. The minority who do use words like this to upset or insult are right now sitting back and enjoying the situation. A bit of a stupid negative result yet again in 'perfect Britain!'
As the Irish are cleverer than everyone else we'll go one letter more! Paddy!
quizmonkey, you're right, these really are some of the most ignorant posts to appear on answerbank, suzuki1 has a very good point. its a fine example of PCness gone mental in this country.
I reckon keyplus90 has the right attitude.
I'm Welsh, and have attended many training courses in England during my career. Often I was called Taff and it didn't worry me at all. If I had reacted badly then I am sure it would have become derogatory - but accept it and laugh with the others and a nickname becomes almost an endearment.
Let's face it. very few in these Isles are pure English, Welsh, Scottish or Irish. My mother's mother came from a German family and her husband from England. Before that who knows?
I am not racist (except when Wales are teaching England how to play rugby) but I find myself reacting against people who are so sensitive.
thats such a fair point!,
i also hate the fact that white people have nothing to be insulted about we get called white trash by americans but dont go crying to the police about it?,
then we do one thing to black people and they're all for,
'its because im black',
it aggrivates me to the bone! that black people think that us white people have something against the colour of there skin just be having a go at them, fair enough someone used the 'n' word towards them but event hen black people say it to each other + use it in songs but if a white person says it, its 'Racist'.
what is this world coming to?
why put yourself in a box?.
Margherita - we're agreed there's ignorance but certainly not for the right reasons. Sounds like you're siding with the ignorant.
