The prog started with an American flag, bloke in it was grey haired and his son came out gay. very vague.. but any one know name of show?

It featured the Tates and the Campbells. When the gay bloke told his mother, he said even Plato was gay, to which she replied "Micky Mouse's dog was gay?"

Can't remember his name but he was in City Slickers.
