Partying Neighbours.

My next door neighbours are a young couple with 2 kiddies, 3ys & about 1yr. They have a least one party a weekend. That's ok, I tend to stay up lateish. Once or twice I've had to call the noise people when the party has gone on past 2am.

But the kiddies? I feel sorry for them having to put up with the thumping music & drunken yelling. It's summer here so the parties spill out into the garden & all the windows & doors are open.

But would the kiddies sleep through it because they are used to it?

Do you speak to the neighbours before calling the authorities in?

The kids might well sleep all through it, but if they don't they catch up next day.

When a kid is ready to drop they drop! However, whether it's good sleep they're getting is another thing. So long as children feel secure there's no need for them to wake up; it's us adults who are alerted by any noise.
I for one can't stand noise at night and would have to have a word with them even if it went as far as calling the police (saying this in France rather than call the police we get the 'maire' to call round!!!)
