Define immigrant.
Do you mean people who were not born here?
Do you include children born in this country to parents who were not?
What about people who were born in other countries to parents who were born here?
What about people who are naturalised, i.e. were not born here but have been granted citizenship?
What about people who have married a person born here and have children who were born here?
What about people born in other European states?
What about people born in Commonwealth countries?
What about people who fought for this country in various wars?
What about temporary workers from other countries?
What about foreign students?
I know people from all these categories. They range from the young Eastern European's doing manual jobs (and doing them well) to my boss's boss's boss who is from the United States and working here for 2 years to understand the European side of the business (also doing a good job).
