Return of fees from '4 Corners'emigration agency who are in administration

My son and girlfriend have paid �4000 to 4 Corners Emigration Agency to process their application for Australia.It is now in administration.What are the chances of them recouping the fees which have been paid by:- credit card,cheque and debit card from Lloyds accounts?

I have already told you above - you can claim the FULL amount from the credit card company - you don't need to become a creditor.
You need to make a claim on your credit card under section 75 of the CCA for the full amount (on the presumption that there is one invoice) and that the terms of contract have been breached. If there are three sperate invoices, then you will only be able to claim for the credit card transaction.
By using a cheque or debit card it is the same as using cash - you have spent the money and there is no way of getting it back other than becoming a creditor of the business (and you will get very little back - usually about 10p in the pound)
