In Islam shaving your hair is compulsory as it is a way to keep your body clean. But when you say Arab and Indians then there are people from all religions in Arab as well as in India. But majority shave their hair apart from Sikh as they consider it against their belief.

I know before their wedding night a woman is supposed to remove all her body hair witht he exception of her eyebrows and eyelashs and hair on her head.
A muslim friend told me it was a sin against Allah for a woman to have no hair on her head but I am not sure if that is true.

Most of them don't shave, they sugar.

And women are supposed to cover their hair in Christian churches too, just as some Jewish women wear wigs - the Abrahamic religions seem to have a thing about female hair, don't they?
