Water temperature problem with shower & bath tap ONLY

We have a combi boiler (ground floor) and have a downstairs (ground floor) shower room and upstairs (1st floor) bathroom. When the hot water taps are turned on in sinks (washhand basins) situated in the kitchen, utility room, shower room (all ground floor) and bathroom (1st floor), the water goes really hot (no problem with this).

Problem occurs for hot water from a) showerhead b) bath tap.

a) Shower (ground floor): the shower has a combined regulator for the water and when we turn it on we can only turn the water pressure on low to get hot water. If we turn it on medium then it starts running cold. We had a great shower previously until we got this new regulator fitted. I would have thouht it was the regulator but we also have the same problem......

b) bath hot tap (1st floor): to fill the bath with the hot tap is almost impossible. Again, we have to turn on the tap with very little water coming out. In fact it is turned on so little that the water sometimes stops! The tap has a showerhead option fitted, so to guarantee hot water, I turn on the showerhead option. Again I can't turn much pressure thru the showerhead or the water turns cold.

My mum had the same problem as yourself, she lives in a upstairs flat. After the original shower fitter came out 3/4 times, it was said that - Downstair's water boiler was also our boiler causing all the problems.....don't know if this will be of much use to you, hope you get it sorted soon!!

if the sink tap on the 1st floor is working ok then it's got to be a problem with the bath tap and the mixer surely
