Why are sub-contintental Asians so prone to racist epiphets?
Day after day I get stupid jokes p a k i this and that, black this and that, I know Orientals suffer racism but to a far lesser degree I feel.
Why is this?
We use Arabic numerals, adopted Indian words into our own lexicon, we eat curry by the ton, and yet all things Indian are disparaged by racists, why?
The Indian was never subjected to slavery, they were described as "brown English men" back in the day, their soldiers were the back bone of the empire (especially the Sikhs), but still the Indian is subjected to a greater degree of ignorance than other colours.
Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Thing that confuses me is I have a neighbour who is a Bangladeshi and HE always refers to Pakistanis as P***s, as does an Indian shopkeeper in the village....

And why don't people object to being called Brits?

'cause they roll on the floor in a paddy when they can't have their way. They're like spoiled children, particularly the men, who are indulged from birth by their g'mas.....part of their culture.

Just wanted to say that I saw 'The Road Home' and it was very good. The scenary and the lead actress was stunning. I so love autumn colours. Thanks for the recommendation.
