forgive and forget...

How easy do you find this?
I find it quite easy to forgive - life's too short to bear grudges, no-one is infallible or perfect, and so long as the deed or crime inflicted is not absolutely horrendous, forgiveness comes quite easily to me.

However - forget? No. I don't mean in a bearing-a-grudge sort of way, but remembering is learning and experience. I'm like a bleedin' great elephant when it comes to that.

Sounds pretty normal to me..... except just once in a while the opportunity to get a little revenge pops up and I find maybe I hadn't forgiven the person as much as I thought... anyway its good not to forget or you'd spend life never learning anything....
depends on what they have done, usually i forgive and move on but if someone really p!sses me off then that's it out of my life
hi sal :o)

I'm afraid I am cr@p at forgiving or forgetting, if the deed is that bad. we have to try to move on from a situation, or it's unhealthy, but how that's done...... hmmmmmm, I'm not always too sure!
Depends salla....no big deal...the I would forgive and forget.

A big deal e.g infidelity......I could forgive........but never forget.
It depends what they have done.
It depends on whether they are sorry or not.
I agree salla.I find it easy to forgive,up to a point.
Forget,no.
Remember the saying "It comes to those who wait"
i can forgive everyone one but you never forget though ....i don't hold grudges ,well there is one person i never forgave really a lassie at school when her mum tried to get me charged at 14 for calling her daughter a ***!! when the police came round they said i could be charged with slander ....but even at that age i was smart lol and explained i couldn't unless it was untrue they left with smiles on their faces my mum and dad were horrified and grounded me for about a month oh well live and learn lol

Actually NoM - that's a very good point - whether they were sorry or not. If they had no remorse whatsoever, then revenge would be so sweet....!
I can forgive silly little things .Instead of bearing a grudge I just rather forget that person exists. I always believe in the old saying What goes around comes around.
You reap what you sow and you should practice what you preach, how can one ever expect for others to forgive them when they themselves do not forgive? Carrying chips on shoulders do nothing but burden the person and starts turning them bitter inside out, show me a person who forgives others and we can be sure this is a person that is happy on the inside and walks through life with alight heart, show me those that want revenge and to see others hurt and I will show you someone that will never be happy.
that sounds like a bible scripute bigfoot !! ,think i will report you for it !!

only joking you are right though x
I think I was enlightened for a moment cherry! Lol

Did you get that out of a cracker bigfoot? Very profound !
I was thinking that too Cherry that is why I said I believe in the saying What goes around comes around so no point in bearing grudges.
There is one person who I will never forgive....ever. It doesn't eat me up though. I do get some satisfaction when I turn up to do's and he has to leave.
I am a great believer in 'karma' and definately what you give is what you get back ~ good or bad.

Grudges/hate/bitterness only hurts the person carrying it around with them.

The best revenge in the world is to be happy!
I think most people are willing to forgive, but not forget.
Salla maybe you and everyone have a certain image of me and that didn't sound right so look at this. http://www.largeandlo...car-costume-126-p.jpg
And then read my post again and it should sit better! Lol.
Ummmm I'm not delving but I think every woman can come on on say there is one man in their life that they will never ever forgive, usually their kids dad that was a b***** to them!
Ooops I have just became aware of the irony of that statement considering my name

D'OH!!!
