Is it weird for a married couple to move into their parents old house?

My husband wants to move into a house he used to live in. im not against it, but isn't it weird that we would be sleeping together in the same room his parents slept together in? i mean, my brother-in-law, was conceived in there. is that not weird?

there are plenty of upper-crust families who've lived in the same house for hundreds of years. I can't say it would bother me (except that my ancestral family home was probably a hovel that the family shared with pigs).

No, I think its nice keeping the house in the family. My mate bought a bungalow with her b/f and then his parents started looking to downsize so they just swapped houses that way the house he grew up in would still be in his family, and he holds alot of memories there. Some people just dont like the thought of other people living in their once home.

Just like any other house you rent or buy - it wouldn't bother me, actually it would be quite nice to know the house you are living in had happy memories.

i think everybody´s forgetting its not yr house your supposed to be moving into, its his folks old house. i know i couldn´t, absolutely no way.
