Been sunbathing most of day and tonight I went to a mates bbq. I drove so wasnt drinking and have just got back. When I left everyone was drunk and I have to say its quite interesting to watch the drunk people for a change. I always come away from these parties feeling happy about my life coz there is a guy that always goes who's blind and he is always life and soul of party. He lost his sight about 3 years ago, got some disease and it slowly went over 6 months. Makes me feel bad when I moan about some things so trivial. He always comes up and finds out who he's speaking to and if he hasnt met you before he'll hold his hand out to introduce himself. Most people there probably didnt even realise he was blind.
It's nice to know that he is ok with his blindness, able to go out and mix with people being cheerful and not playing on his disability. I bet people like him much more for that.
It wasn't a sunbathing day today where we are, a bit breezy and cloudy, got my washing dry though!
my friends little girl was only 8 when she developed liver cancer,it was some 20 years ago now,she passed away when she was 10,and i can still see her smile and her lovely long blonde hair, she wqas an absoloute angel it still brings tears to my eyes when i think of her....
Awww :-( This boy is 22 and he still goes to uni to study sports, he travels on the train on his own, if he needs help he just asks someone. He makes a little joke when he sees people and they say 'alright I havent seen you about in ages' and he says 'I havent seen you for about 3 years!'
I think some people think they have to talk about it to him thinking they care about him, but really the way he is I dont think he needs to be reminded. He's good as he is.
