It seems if you don't subscribe to a set of religious fairy tales. Preferably Catholicsim, you are third world?

Personally I believe it's the other way round? Is agressive atheism a bad thing? Is His eminence out of line here?

I think aggressive *anything* is bad - it indicates personal anger issues IMO.
Living as I do in the West Midlands / Birmingham there are times when I think I am living in a third world country.

Drive throught Small Heath or Sparkhill and you may thing you have landed in Iraq or Pakistan.

Unfortunately uncontrolled, unmanaged immigration (by both parties but mainly Labour recently) have allowed unskilled, uneducated non-english speaking people to come here and live off the country while contributing almost nothing.

This guy is right, parts of this country have been dragged down to third world levels.
Question Author
by "agressive" he seems to mean "in preference", His description of third word seems to be based on the fact that we are not religious enough rather than aspects of day to day life.
What about aggressive catholicism? Atheists don't tell others how to live their lives; the catholic church does.

I refer the honourable gentleman to my answer in AOG's thread.
Some atheists may feel better after telling the catholic church what they think of them, but that is not aggression, we know what that is, it has been demonstrated so often recently. It results in people being killed, mutilated and mentally scarred.
I agree with VHG.
When you land at Heathrow or Gatwick you wouldn't think you were in the UK, more like India, Pakistan, Afghanistan or Poland and Ive heard that white people are the minority in Bradford.
Perhaps he meant the level of national debt.
Or the level of illiteracy.
Or the level of government corruption.
Or the level of childhood pregnancies and prostitution.
Or the level of S.TDs being at an almost pandemic state.
Or the level of waste and litter in the streets.
Or the state of the roads.
In the end he chickened out.
I agree with the first respondent, agressive anything is a bad thing, you believe in something I don't, I believe in something you don't.
Get over it.
actually, it was Heathrow he said was like the third world. Didn't Maggie say something similar after coming back from Heathrow once? I wouldn't say third world myself but it's an overcrowded, overcommercialised mess of a place.
i think he was referring to england !

maybe, anneasquith, but it's hard to say. I don't really know what he means by 'third world' but it isn't self-evident that it means 'unchristian': many poor nations in Africa or Latin America, for instance, are strongly Christian, if not necessarily Roman Catholic. (One of the world's biggest cathedrals is in Ivory Coast.) But what he said (presumably in German) was "when you land at Heathrow you think at times you have landed in a Third World country"
wait untl that popemobile starts hitting all the potholes in the roads...
'' wait until that popemobile starts hitting all the potholes in the roads ''...

Hope he dosent try to claim damages as he should take it out of the £25.00 a time that people have to pay to see him.

Fancy being rude about Heathrow! From the quote it seems that he thought at times that he was in Bangladesh or Pakistan, which are both Moslem countries and seen as of the Third World,. Heathrow is largely staffed by such Moslems. The Pope himself is no fan of Islam. He's spoken out against Turkey joining the EU because it is Moslem country and he thinks its inclusion would upset the balance of our European (read 'Christian') culture. Must have been a shock to the Cardinal to see so many Moslems already here.
good job see this person did not come to manchester a couple of weeks back we had the gay pride weekend. wonder what he would say if he saw that :)
he would probably have joined in, in full Vatican fancy dress.
with his dress on he would have fitted in
