This is exactly the way I see life, can Christians ever accept this as a way of life, that this life is far more important as this is the only one we have?
Check out other "The Atheist Experience" on youtube, a great phone in programme from the states, unfortunately so funny at times as well!
I think we should have a similar phone in, in this country, Naomi will be answering the phone :-)
They must go somewhere because you never see them lying around, perhaps because they don't have to go through any intermediary religions and are therefore without 'sin' they go direct to heaven and 'sit on god's right hand'(he's got big hands) I don't know who sits on god's left hand but I expect we will soon find out.
Is it going to be like a 'help line' for addicts Ratter?
Jomifl, no one sits at God's left hand. Having said that, when the sorting is finally done the sheep shall be on the right and the goats on the left. I know a few atheistic old goats so I'll be in good company. Oops, that didn't take long, did it!! ;o)
Regardless of what atheists believe, her is the truth...
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
Not believing in the Bible does not make the Bible wrong....
Except archaeology has failed to find evidence of many of the people and places mentioned....the bible is a collection of adventure stories from the oral tradition ...not a contemporaneous account of events..And formal religions are structures designed by man to control other men
not a Christian but yes of course i can accept atheism as a life choice for other people. I am not sure whether this life is the only corporeal one we have or not but i deffo think that we should live it as though it is...not waste it in being nasty to other people or doing anything but our best...relishing and being grateful for stuff, loving and being loved.
Woofgang.....I feel we have choices ...living in a way that means you are kind to others, love those you care about and care for the world you inhabit just makes sense to me
I don't need a representative of God PLC (and formal religions are a huge money machines) to tell me this
