For me, on the whole, a good year. But for many, it was a disaster - how was it for you?

Not a good year for us really. My Auntie died in March, we're a close family and it's been hard coming to terms with it, more so now as my mum & step-dad have gone to Oz on holiday (just landed) and my Aunt always rang to check we were ok whilst they weren't around (I'm 32 lol) it upset me a lot when it suddenly dawned on me yesterday that she wouldn't be ringing. Silly really.
A close friend of the family died suddenly in the summer and my beloved cat Del-Boy died also suddenly in October.
My husband also had bad news about his health but it looks like hopefully he will be ok for now.
So in that aspect it has been crap lol but I remember my uncle once telling me that you shouldn't blame the year when bad things have happened, just that it was a bad part of the year. I'm trying to look at it more like that.
I do look forward to the new year tho as a new start and for exciting things to come.
Happy New Year all :o)
xx

this might seem simplistic but may be a little cathartic (ok, very little but you'd be surprised, I did this a few years back and felt a lot better after, then again I was pished...). I think even those of us that got through 2010 ok will be glad it's over - so how about at midnight, take your 2010 calendar outside and burn the bugger? See it off in your mind.
Company went bust. Struggling with new one. Attended an old friends funeral ( he was 46). Just found large lump on my dog so 2011 might not get off to a good start. BUT, live in a nice house in a nice village with a loving wife, have both my parents still alive and healthy and a daughter who is just starting out on her adult journey ( got her first job this year) and we have some good friends. A mixed, bag like most.
Not my worst by a long chalk (didnt even think I would see the end of the tunnel) but its been challenging because as we all know we dont 'just' lose someone we have to readjust and that takes time.Few personal glitches as well-thanks to Leg Kn0bster pix and Dusty for being the best mates and getting me there -love you guys:) x
I have however laughed this year until I cried so I must be on the up-baby steps :)

You are right, whickerman, it was a bad year for many including me. I lost my job of 4 and a half years through no fault of my own. Also I did not win the Lottery...... again!
Would it help if I bought a ticket?
Hope 2011 will be a better year for all of you!
How do frogs greet each other on January 1st?
"Hoppy New Year"!
