should have asked ig they wanted to join you at the loacl blood donor group , he'd have soon shut up (against their religion)
Sounds more like someone with a mental health problem than a jw
I find those polite, clean-shaven, strangely dressed in black, young American men to be very weird. Can't remember what religion they are - asked me last week if I wanted to know their views on 'family' whilst riding past me on bikes. Very odd. (I wanted to ask if they wanted to hear my views on religious nutters.)
There are all sorts of wird people out there - you need to meet them head on.

Next time, say you are a pagan and you have conversations with the earth all the time - he will soon move on!
i think they all have a mental illness when they knock on your doors and walk the streets, if you want to speak to your god, you visit your church, temple, chapel etc..
If if he said anything about meeting the prophet,AND used the American have a good day he was more than likely to be a Mormon, not a JK.
JW usually restrict their calls to door to door, where they van get more of a captive audience.
However,I cannot understand the virulence on AB against JW's,I have allowed them in for a cup of tea,and also Mormons.I talk to them calmy but firmly about my beliefs and they are quite happy to leave when I ask.
Mind you the Mormons are always young good looking ,males.so maybe I have ulterior motives?LOL
PS:~
If your ****************************** indicate that the missionary(?) was using profanities, then they were not Mormons either, they just don't(for fear of retribution by their god) swear.
Yes, I agree with you, donna. I need posters and T-shirts from the NBS at my home, and that would keep them away. They have been known to come on Christmas Day in my area, so a big problem for us here.

What do the rest of you say to them?
What's the difference between my old car and a Jehovah's Witness?

You can shut the door on a Jehovah' Witness.
See my answer above Johnny,
I have never had a problem with either JW or Mormon,
Maybe they are so used to being rebuffed that they are somewhat taken aback.
Sometimes I get their magazine trought the letterbox, but that is all.
I think you're very wrong to assume this person represented any particular religion.
I am of the same mind as naomi,
Having reread the question I think this was probably your usual public "nut".
Unfortunately public transport seems to attract them!
You misheard, he said, ''make a profit'' ... I reckon he was cruisin'.
Sounds like a very sad soul to me - but then, so are Jehovah's Witnesses. ;o)
It is no good trying to convert me as I am due to go back to Mars tonight.
I guess if I had to choose a god I'd go for one that does plain old retribution (post dated) like the mormon one. You know where you are with those, it's nice to have a choice isn't it?
