Naomi - One simple question....

Naomi left this website few months ago and even all of the efforts from almost all of the people here could not make her change her mind. 292 posts, thoughts and requests from so many people do mean something or they don’t?

I personally always liked all of the challenges presented by her because that gave me a chance to look into so many things a bit more closely and as a result I learnt more about so any aspects of life including my own religion. Apart from other things I found satisfactory answers to my own long term questions about few areas of my own religion and as a result I am more satisfied than ever that I am a Muslim. So I do welcome her back whole heartedly.

Only question of mine (and anyone who was not in touch with her during this period through other means) is that what changed her mind NOW?

Where I am not expecting too many responses to this question (or query) as one simple post from Naomi would be enough but if anyone else has any input in this regard then please feel free.

Being as this question appears to be open to speculation, whilst I do not presume to speak for Naomi, I suspect that part of the reason for her return is not far removed from the reason she left, nor vastly dissimilar to the reason others venture in and out of this topic, that being her inability to obtain clear, concise, honest, insightful and sincere answers to her own questions and perhaps along with that a limited capacity to suffer fools gladly as much as such is to be expected given the nature of the subject matter this topic deals with and the kinds of answers one might anticipate coming from those who believe without or in spite of reason.

As one who realises the importance of being willing to have their beliefs challenged and who is no less willing to sift through the mud for that rare gem that occasionally surfaces and gleams no less in contrast to the rest, like many others I welcome Naomi's return and look forward to the quality of the contributions many of us have come to expect from her . . . and with any luck, perhaps a taste of one of those delicious custard pies the likes of which only Naomi can deliver.

As is to be expected I've most likely made this sound more like a eulogy than a welcome home. Oh well, MTH! ;o)
