I listen to my local radio station and today the DJ was interviewing Uri Geller. After the talk Uri Geller asked the listeners to take hold of a broken watch or place a spoon on top of thr radio. I found an old broken watch that hadn't worked for years, but kept it for sentimental reasons. Uri Geller counted to three three times and at the end of each count we had to shout out 'work' again three times. I did all this and lo and behold my watch started working!! It is now four and a half hours later and it is still going strong - I kid you not !!

Oh sorry, the spoon was supposed to bend or jump off the radio! I didn't try the spoon, just my watch.

crazy! I'm a natural sceptic so I'd love to hear a scientists view of it, frequencies and resonance etc, although I'd not close myself off to the idea of any of that freaky stuff! It's a funny ol' world!

I'm glad you believe me, I thought some of you might think I was pulling a fast one! But no, it is working away and keeping perfect time. I can't explain it, but the watch has been broken for more years than I care to remember ...

I don't see how heat from hands can mend a broken watch - we wouldn't need watch repairers if it was so easy! And it's still going several hours on. However, I'm open to all suggestions !

I had the same experience a few years ago. This time Uri was on the TV I took a watch that had not worked for a number of years. I held the watch in my hand and shouted out 'work' three time along with Uri. And yes the watch started to work. Freaky or what. The watch keep working for a long time after.

I think Uri Geller was instrumental - but only because he told you to go and get the watch. I suspect taking it from the drawer, or wherever you keep it, gave it a bit of a jolt and got it working again.

you don't think anyone had ever tried picking it up before, naomi? I have to say that seems to be unlikely. I am reluctant to trust illusionists who can make things work over the radio, but I don't have an alternative explanation.

Years ago I had a portable TV that just packed in. Several months later Uri was on the TV with his work shout. I did this, much to Mrs MM's amusement. I did start to work again and we were amazed. Never did find an explanation, but it worked for another couple of years.
