Do they actually think they will ever achieve anything with all this Bible bashing, Whilst everyone generally gives them an ear bashing and many will mock their determined efforts.
What is their cause? do they really think they will ever convert anyone, I think most people just find them a bit irritating and a waste of time.

Now my dears I am going to leave you all for the time being. I have other more important things to do than sit here and listen to you all fantasizing about me. As much as I dislike leaving you all in the lurch with nothing more to pick at than your nails - I will say "so long", "hasta manana", "zai jian".

How can we determine what we have treasured up in our heart? Jesus said: “A good man brings forth good out of the good treasure of his heart, but a wicked man brings forth what is wicked out of his wicked treasure; for out of the heart’s abundance his mouth speaks.” (Luke 6:45) What we usually talk about is a good indication of what our heart is set on.
Truthabounds, //And here is me thinking you knew it all.//
Oh dear! Poor old Truthabounds! Perhaps you should have asked your God for guidance, because that's something I've never claimed - or maybe you did and the answer wasn't forthcoming?
If you're telling the truth, there's certainly a bit of plagiarising going on, but that aside, do try to keep a sense of perspective, Truthabounds. Your absurd beliefs are a fun challenge and easily dismissed, but if you think people are fantasizing over you, then you are letting these discussions go to your head - and since few here take you seriously, that really is rather a silly thing to do.

How much do you care about other people? How keenly do you feel their sufferings and regret the oppression or injustices they endure?
Some blame God for being cold-hearted and unconcerned about the sufferings of people, and yet their own daily lives often show them to be self-centered or concerned about only their own families or their own race. In their businesses or employment they may follow the world in general in a “dog-eat-dog” way of dealing, using “sharp” practices at the expense of others, misrepresenting, falsifying. Many are nationalistic or highly prejudiced toward people of a different skin color or language. All of this is totally contrary to the personality and ways of God, as shown in his Word, the Bible.
One may say, “What does it really matter how much I care? What can I do about it?” True, you cannot feed and clothe the hungry and poor of the world, you cannot abolish crime, end sickness, stop pollution or bring enduring world peace.
But you can show that you are not in harmony with the selfish view of life that is responsible for so much human suffering and show that you recognize the failure of human rule independent of God. You can put yourself firmly on the side of God, who is fully able to remedy all these things and who promises that he will “bring to ruin those ruining the earth,” doing so for his own name’s sake Rev: 11:18)

@Elderman - Secular society does far better at looking after the sick, the halt and the lame than any theocracy i can think of. Secular society certainly affords greater rights and respect to minorities and the oppressed.
Putting faith in god? Well, apart from the problem of trying to figure out which one, Thats just an abrogation of our own responsibility to look after our own and whilst we are at it, look after our planet.
More pious proselytising - hot air that offers nothing.

I know plenty of people who are tireless workers for the good of all.

Maybe you should read that book again. The brutal genocidal massacre of more than thirty tribes who lived in the Promised Land appears highly nationalisting and deeply prejudiced.
God's personality is shown in the Bible to be that of a very twisted, short-tempered, angry, deeply prejudiced and punitive person. Certainly not the kind of person I would want anything to do with.

Beso: So you believe the Bible now, I wish you make your mind up,
True some religions of the world do not find a much brighter prospect. Religious teachers do not agree among themselves, nor do they agree with the Bible, which they say is filled with ‘fables’ and statements that are ‘not historically accurate.’
The question confronts you what should you believe?
A true-life story of an aged Middle Eastern man who had suffered many hardships and disasters closes with the assurance that he died “old and satisfied with days.” He had lived to be well over 140 years of age.—Job 42:16, 17

Beso: Have just popped my head in the door to see what is going on, but I am leaving now as I have to catch up on other things which require my immediate attention. I have spent too much time here already and you lot are beginning to depress me.
Sith: I am a Christian that does not belong to the normal religious organisations. I am one who looks to God's Word and endeavours to live a life in harmony with Christian principles. I make mistakes as does every other human on this planet. I respect the beliefs of others even if I do not agree with them and I air my views on this site. Sadly, others do not view it that way and make it look as if I am trying to convert. I have no power to convert, conversion is made by the individual of his own volition not under duress. I considered this site to be one of open discussion but it appears to be run by a few narrow minded atheists who cannot accept criticism or who do not even wish to respect others views but their own.
