I've been asked by a Christian ABer if I spent last night watching the Omen trilogy. Not very nice - but the question struck me as rather strange. I can't imagine why such a peculiar thought would even occur to anyone. Do these people really think that atheists are somehow aligned with the 'Devil'? And if so, why?

Ankou, if you read my post at 22.21 Sunday, the mystery you are currently puzzling over will evaporate.

Sandy, ha ha! You are a monkey - but then you know that. :o)

Fair enough. Thanks for your answer.
Naomi, sorry missed your post, no I do not believe I know the facts but I still have faith in a God. I can prove nothing neither can anyone else. You have now met a person with faith who knows he does not have all the answers.

Thanks for answering Tony. You claim to have 'faith', so you must believe that you know your God exists, yes? Without that 'knowledge' you might harbour 'hope', but hope doesn't equate to 'faith'.
No one knows Naomi.

No, they don't - but one thing I would say - if an almighty creator God exists, I'm convinced the religious have given the title to the wrong bloke.
//No one knows...//

//No, they don't...//

Speak for yourselves . . . 'knowitalls'

Anyway - if God exists then It obviously doesn't want to be known, for if It so desired and was not able then It would not be God. Not that what It desires is even relevant once you know It doesn't exist anyhow . . . but that's another story.

As for the faith issue . . . oh perleez, don't get me started! - http://www.theanswerb.../Question1080597.html
"Philosophy is questions that cannot be answered. Religion is answers that cannot be questioned."
I like that quote Ratter. It made me think. I would however based on my own experience change one word, in either case, from 'cannot' to 'should'.
