Buddhists vs Abrahamic Philosophy
28 Answers
The fundamental difference between religions like Buddhism and the Abrahamics is that Buddhism teaches that life happens as it unfolds and we might as well accept whatever happens as passive observers while the Abrahamics believe that we can influence the course of nature by sycophantic worship.
I am not a Buddhist but their perspective makes a lot more sense to me.

Bhuddism does not presuppose the existence of a god so is an (mostly)atheistic belief system. Most Bhuddists are atheists but they are free to believe in a god if they wish to and a significant minority opt for belief in a god or gods. Does that not sound very reasonable?
//Mibs.. No problem understanding your impervious sentences :-)//
Sometimes I wonder why I bother. For the most part, those capable of understanding already do. But then, if the only reason I have for bothering at all is simply to remind myself and collect my own thoughts . . . I suppose the effort is justified.

Hi Khandro, When I said that I understood what Mibs said that was what I meant. As to why he said what he said, what his line of reasoning was or what information it was based on I'm as much in the dark as you are. I imagine a Bhuddist would agree that nothing can ever be perfect and that in someways perfection is a bit like the speed of light, the closer you get to it the more difficult it is to acheive it. I'm sure that Mibs will oblige you with an explanation shortly.
