You may not be as you have said. You may be. i do not know. being clever is not bad and i am happy to have someone with a greater knowledge than me to debate against me. However the way you go about it is wrong.
Sith, oh dear. More criticism. My sins are great indeed! If you feel the way I go about debating is ‘all wrong’, which way would you prefer me to go about it?
For the reasons I’ve given, most of the older religions have grown considerably in the past 1000 years – which is the time span you mentioned. And yes, to an atheist they are all the same.

Sith, what on earth does Islam ‘going backwards’ have to do with its growing in numbers? This is what you said.
//During the crusade era muslims who were truly religious, more religious than we are now were one of the cleverest doctors in the world.//
The Crusades took place a very long time ago, so where is that intellect you describe now? Where are Islam’s great scholars and men of science? As I said, Islam has gone backwards.

Sith, the reason the number of muslims has increased could be that the number of people has increased, can you prove otherwise? When you are trying to find a reason for something you have to consider all the possibilities, not just those that suit your purposes. If you try to be deceitful the truth will find you out just as it always has done. If you are correct the truth will support you, you need not fear it.
have you even heard of dr zakir naik. He is the most famous muslim scholar in modern day. perhaps you should listen to him. You can learn a thing or two. If i read richard dawkins you should listen to zakir naik. i doubt you will though.
besides. just because you have not heard of them there not great??? If youve heard of something than its great? that literally makes me laugh.

Sith, Richard Dawkins, before he gained fame or notoriety as an atheist was a very well respected scientist researching evolutionary genetics, a friend of mine was a colleague of his. He has actually added to the sum of human knowledge and advanced our understanding of the world. All most islamic scholars seem to do is read and re-read the koran and interpret it and other scholars interpretations. It seems rather closed and incestuous to me and adds very little to our understanding of anything, probably not even the koran. Koanic scholars have spent about one and a half millenia arguing and fighting over the meaning of the koran but I doubt that we or they are any wiser about the koran or ever will be.
research dr zakir naik. He is a actual doctor and is very clever.

Sith, so in answer to my question "Where are Islam’s great scholars and men of science?" you give me a list of scholars of Islam rather than Islamic scholars - and one doctor. In that instance, I rest my case.
And no answer to my other question concerning your criticism of me, so I'll repeat it. //If you feel the way I go about debating is ‘all wrong’, which way would you prefer me to go about it?//
//If i read richard dawkins you should listen to zakir naik. i doubt you will though. //
Never doubt it, Sith. I’ll watch or read anything concerning religion – not that I need to listen to scholars of Islam. I’ve spoken to more than I care to remember.
