what is the reason for islamophobia?

Yes, i understand recent years have not shown Islam in a good light, however other religion have and are doing bad things aswell, yet there is less hatred for these than there are for islam. Why?
Also people dont seem to understand the term "minority". Only a minority of muslims do bad things yet the whole religion is blamed. Again, why?

Jomifl – Thanks for telling me about the history or Israel, USA and UNO, but I don’t think that is what I was asking. And thanks again for avoiding the real question I asked by asking me the definition of Innocent in Quran now. As far as I am aware there is no difference but I will leave the ball in your court to give me something otherwise.
Naomi – I know the children are innocent and you do not need to tell me that. Do you believe that the people who are killing those children are terrorists or not. That is my question. And when and where I said that people who fly planes into buildings are innocent? I would like to know that.

Sir Alec – People like you were allowed to work where you were supposed to give advice, but you seem to have no idea about what is the difference between Islam and Muslims. And then I am sure Muslims are not the only people who mistreat their wives this sort s of people are ever where but luckily in minority. But one thing I am sure that a person with biased opinion should not be giving advice to anyone.

Finally, responses to this post itself shows how much Islamophobia there is. I am off to Spain for one week to see the history where Muslims ruled for centuries and were still in minority because they neither killed nor converted by force. But then again few people are narrow minded (didn’t I say that). I will leave you in the capable hands of lightbulb or Sith as few would like to say. And Sith, please let me know (here) once I am back if Jomifl, Naomi and Birdie would repeat my words about condemnation of the killing of innocent or if they would ever give their definition of innocent.

No one has said all Muslims are bad, and I doubt anyone believes that. What they are saying is Islam is far from perfect and warrants criticism. Shame you aren’t honest enough to say the same. If you were, questions such as the one you’ve raised wouldn’t be necessary because you would acknowledge the answer. Note I didn’t say ‘you would know the answer’. You do know the answer – but you refuse to acknowledge it. Whilst you may be determined to defend your religion, you cannot hope to defend the indefensible. It just doesn’t work.

The two sides are involved in an on-going and seemingly irresolvable conflict and therefore if the Israelis who are killing Palestinian children are deemed to be terrorists, then the Palestinians killing Jewish children must also be terrorists – that’s simply logic - but I don’t expect you to agree. Keyplus, as I remember it, I asked you what what your understanding of the meaning or the word 'innocence' was. I thought that as an Arabic speaker you might be aware of slight differences in meaning between the English word 'inncence' and it's Arabic equivalent. However I now realise that your understanding of English is severely compromised by your religious prejudices so any answers that you give are not relevant to my question. Thankyou however for taking the time to consider it.
