Mayan Calendar & The End Of The World
64 Answers
According to believers of the Mayan Calendar, the world might end at midnight on 21st December 2012.
Will you be having a party to say farewell to all and sundry, before putting your head between your legs and kissing your ass goodbye?
Or will you plan now to take out a massive loan from the bank, and live it up for the next two months?
Should be a great party though.

goodlife Would you tell me why you have not commented on the 16 failed prophesies, as listed by Graham-W
Or are you saying they are all are false ?
#The Bible tells us "no one knows the day or the hour" so man made predictions are completely false.#
As a witness you are one of the chosen ones and privy to the words of God. I don't have your advantages so I am sure you will want to enlighten me .

Goodlife..Rev 1.3 ...3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
That IS profound....but what does it mean? anything? nothing? whatever you want it to mean?
Perhaps you should do what others on AB do and put a bit of effort into explaining your views in as concise a way as possible. Either that or say something witty.

goddlife //What is your family like? Is your home a warm, cheerful place? Do you enjoy one another, have interesting conversations at mealtimes, find pleasure in doing things together and for one another? Or do you each go your separate way, with little or no interest in one another? Which way would you prefer it to be?
It’s easy to blame others if things aren’t the way you would like them to be. But before complaining, why not first ask: “What do I myself contribute to my spirit. Often bored people simply fail to see the value of the things. //
In my family we meet frequently and have a lovely time talking about all kinds of things we have been up to. We help each other achieve our goals.
I have no doubt the experience of my family would be far preferable to sitting around talking of imminent destruction and the glory of a God who is going to annihilate all but a select few who meet His sycophantic demands.
Clearly, by your own standards you are thoroughly bored because you see no value in the future of humanity beyond its destruction. You and your kind blame all those who don't share "values" for everything that you perceive as wrong in the world.
Your assumption that only "true Christians" had a worthwhile family life is both incredibly ignorant and arrogant.
BTW You should perhaps learn that quote marks come in matched pairs. You need to be careful when you cut and paste to ensure you get the whole quote or add the closing quote marks yourself.

If I listened to every so called prophecy about the end of the world I think i would be in the mad house now.
There is only one prophecy that I can see that is relevant to today and that is what Jesus himself said. He predicted the end of Jerusalem and it happened. Okay, it took nearly 40 yrs, but it happened. Those who listened lived, those who didn't died. In fact finally, after a siege lasting five months, Jerusalem falls. The city and its grand temple are plundered and burned and then torn apart stone by stone. (Daniel 9:26) The dead total some 1,100,000; another 97,000 are sold into slavery. (Deuteronomy 28:68) Judea is virtually emptied of Jews. Truly, it is a national disaster without parallel, a watershed in Jewish political, religious, and cultural life.
So just because the words in the Bible have not yet happened, doesn't mean it won't.
Then who will have the last laugh?
Certainly not the doubters or ridiculers!
