"Who has nicked my tent?!"
you can see only about 5000 individual stars with the naked eye
I think "I wish I didn't have to go home in the morning".

Where I live, the stars are mostly hidden by all the light pollution :-(
Brrrrrrrr...
at the moment, bloody hell its cold I hope those dogs pee soon
"lovely, but I need to get out of this ditch"
""Who has nicked my tent?!""

LoL!
if that's polaris, we're in trouble
How lovely.
Where's Venus?
It would be even nice if the moon was there as well.
Which one is Mufasa?
When you're alone and looking up at the millions of brilliant stars lighting up the night time sky?
------------------------------
How infinitely insignificant we are in our unimaginably brief(in comparison) time on Earth.
Are the stars out tonight,
I can't see if it's cloudy or bright
Cos I only have eyes for you!
morning star or evening dt, venus always turns up fashionably late
I've not done that in ages. I blame clouds and pollution. Anyway, I tend to think "Wow", and not that much else to be honest.
I think it is the most beautiful sight, inky black sky and twinkling stars, some coloured, some blinking, some bright white, the occasional shooting star leaving a dying trail, I can sit in the garden in the dark on a clear night and see wonders that were seen from the start of existance of life on this planet. Nothing in history can compete with that.
I wonder who is looking down on me from 'up there' and what can they see ?
^^annie, so well put
"The other day I was gazing up at the night sky, a purple vault fretted with a myriad points of light twinkling in wondrous formation, while shooting stars streaked across the heavens, and I thought: I really must repair the roof on this toilet."
