Can You Make A Good Name With God?
62 Answers
There is a verse in the Bible book of Ecclesiastes that may seem to be a very strange statement to some readers: A good reputation is better than expensive pleasures, the day someone dies is better than the day they were born.
2 It is better to go to a funeral than to a party,
because everyone must die,and the living need to remember this. Ecclesiastes 7:1-6 (ERV)
How can this be? How can death be better than life?

Rather than making you frustrated.
DID you know that someone loved you even before you were born? Well, you see we knew you were coming. Of course, we didn’t know what you would look like then. You were still growing inside your mother. But already your father and your mother were doing many things to show they loved you.
That’s why there were clothes for you to wear as soon as you were born. And there was a little bed for you to sleep in.
And, my, how happy your father and mother were when they finally saw you! They loved you then. And they love you now, very, very much. You love your father and mother, too, don’t you?
But now I am thinking of someone else who also loved you before you were born. Do you know who?— It is Jehovah God. In fact, God loved all of us before we were born. Do you know how we know he did?
Because a long time ago God sent his Son to give his life for us. Also, God is going to make the earth a beautiful garden where we can live forever in happiness, if we really want to.

What Goodlife maybe referring to in this question is that when you are born you have done nothing to be remembered for. But when you die, you have.
At least if you have lived for some years. There are memories to be cherished by those left behind. Also you have had time to do something with your life.

I think you would serve Him better if you started to engage in a more serious discussion about it all rather than "respond" to our points by saying what you were going to say anyway. By doing what you are doing it's clear that some people find your position amusing rather than something to be taken seriously.
Goodlife, //how does this make you feel toward God?//
It doesn't make me feel anything towards God - I don't believe he exists so it's impossible for me to feel anything towards him. However, since I care about my fellow man, it does make me feel rather resentful towards the people who shove down the throats of the gullible the superstitious nonsense that you and the rest of the religious - of whatever hue – spout. Look what they've done to your brain!! You've abandoned all vestige of common sense and rationality!

Naomi@ First, that God does care for those mentally ill can be seen by the provisions he has made. First, he lays the obligation to care for them upon their closest family members. At 1 Timothy 5:8 we read: “Certainly if anyone does not provide for those who are his own, and especially for those who are members of his household, he has disowned the faith and is worse than a person without faith.” No exception is made for members of the household who are sick.
Second,God has a provision that can be used when caring for mentally disturbed people is helping them to take in knowledge from the Bible. Examples show that mentally disturbed persons have been relieved of much tension and anguish, and at times have even been cured, by having their thinking adjusted through knowledge from God’s Word.
Why so, Primarily because the Bible is a book that provides spiritual guidance and infuses hope in people. (Romans 15:4, 13) Hope is especially vital for depressed persons or spiritual sick . And God’s spirit, along with a strong hope, can help a confused person to adjust his thoughts and resume wholesome ways of life.
Third, The fact is, your way of life can be pleasing to only one of two masters. Either you are serving Jehovah God or Satan the Devil. A principle found in the Bible helps us to appreciate this. It says: Do you not know that if you keep presenting yourselves to anyone as slaves to obey him, you are slaves of him because you obey him (Romans 6:16)
Whom do you obey? Whose will do you do? Regardless of your answer, if you follow the unrighteous ways of the world you cannot be serving the true God, Because, the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19)
One can go on and on but to no avail for some.
