Jesus said: “He that is not on my side is against me.” (Matthew 12:30)

Most people think that they are serving God acceptably, but the Bible says that Satan is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9)

Yes,Millions of people believe that they are worshipping / not worshipping God, but they are really serving Satan the Devil.

GL, perhaps you are being misled by the very book that you adore. You need some tests to apply to the bible so as to see if it 'speaketh' the truth. After all even you would accept that it wasn't written by god of jesus of even the holy gho...never mind. So how do you know that it wasn't 'the work of the devil' I can see a circular argument in the offing but who cares.
jomifl - JWs use the New World Translation of the Bible:

An interesting diversion from the King James.
However, after thousands of years of waiting, is it negative thinking or is it realistic thinking that points to the conclusion that God's Kingdom is not coming?

Jesus said he would return and bring God's Kingdom within the lifetime of some of those who were listening to Him. Nearly 2000 years later and the faithful are still waiting. This is like waiting to meet someone who told you at midday they would be there at 7PM and you are still patiently waiting a week later.

Jesus was a fictional character in a story designed to "fulfill" the "prophecies" of the Old Testament. It deliberately used the claim that Jesus would return within a lifetime so that its readers of the time it was written (about a lifetime after it was set) would think the return was imminent.

Facing up to the truth may be bitter medicine, but it is the best medicine,
Goodlife, //Anyone is capable of being misled.//

‘Capable’ is disingenuous. According to your words quoted from the bible, the entire inhabited earth is misled – so that must include you – and if it’s in the bible it must be true. That’s logical, isn’t it? Time to stop preaching, I’d say. You’re leading people astray.

Yes, you can see the greatest possessor of God’s written Word, the Holy Bible, is Christendom. But does she accept it as “the word of truth? That is, Does she believe it? By her works, which speak louder than words, she betrays unbelief in the Holy Bible, a non-adherence to the Bible, and a rejecting of it in favor of worldly science, philosophy and politics.

What are the more than 7 1/4 millions only people who do not belong to Christendom think of this or conclude from this?

Logically they would be inclined to ask this question: Since Christendom does not believe and obey its most sacred Book of religion, does this not prove that the Holy Bible does not contain the truth?

Does this not prove that the God of the Bible does not exist, that he is not the true God, and that he is not true but is, in fact, a liar. Informed Bible students who are not part of Christendom will answer No!

So if you love what is right and want to live in God’s new world, it is imperative that you walk in the truth. We should have the attitude of the psalmist who prayed: Make me know your own ways, O Jehovah; teach me your own paths. Make me walk in your truth and teach me. (Ps. 25:4, 5)

We heed the prophet Samuel’s counsel to ancient Israel: You must not turn aside to follow the unrealities that are of no benefit and that do not deliver, . . . and you must serve him in truth with all your heart.—1 Sam. 12:21, 24. simple.
Goodlife, //So if you love what is right…..//

If you believe the bible is the truth and you love what is right, you will accept that Satan is misleading the entire earth – and that includes you – and you will stop your constant preaching.
oodlife //You must not turn aside to follow the unrealities that are of no benefit and that do not deliver, //

Good advice. Nearly two thousand years after they were made, none of the promises of your religion have been delivered.

Why do you keep waiting? Jesus lied. He did not return within a lifetime.
Goodlife - "Naomi, I answered the question. Obviously you have to have everything set out word for word as you would for a child."

You don't have to be a pompous boor to be a JW - but obviously it helps!
In Goodlife's last post, I counted 9 non sequiturs. I can only suggest he buys a dictionary to look up "Logic" " reason" and " nonsense"
Why do you good people give goodlife some artificial intellectual respectability by engaging with him or her? That intelligent people are prepared to respond to his lunacy must give him the satisfaction of thinking that what he says has some value, whereas it is merely tedious, second-hand JW sermonising.
Lacryma Christi, Naomi?

It's not always easy to evoke a response from you Chakka . . . but we try. ;o)
VE, //Lacryma Christi, Naomi? //

If I understand your meaning, something like that. Jesus would be weeping buckets. If I've misunderstood it, mine's a large one. ;o)
Jesus wept.....
It's a rather pretentious Italian red with an extraordinary name that promises more than it delivers.

Yes, the God of truth has set a time limit for the permission of untruth and its resultant wickedness. (Prov. 12:19) and Satan still uses man to hinder fellow humans from gaining life. And you can’t see the ways in which the Devil employs this stratagem, you poor lot.
@goodlife. I am still waiting for you to answer my question. Please explain why you are still waiting nearly two thousand years after Jesus said that His father's kingdom would come within the lifetime of some of those he was speaking too.

Either Jesus lied or the Bible misreported Him.

It is a simple question. Don't you have an answer?
