You make friendship sound like a business deal.

As there isn't really a subject for this question I thought I might as well do some advertising for a book I like...
Some of you level the idea of the bible etc being "fairytales" - this is mightily unfair to both the religious and fairytales.
If you're of the inclination to NOT believe what some fairly ancient hippy wants to chatter on about, can I suggest getting in touch with your local indigenous folklore?

This book is called "The Lore Of The Land" and breaks the UK down to a pretty local level in terms of recorded folk history.
Sometimes it's easy to feel under the cultural tyranny of "Christian England" - benign as it may be - and this book goes a long way towards a replacement.

In Paul’s day true humility was not understood or practiced in his day
What was glorified was pride and mocking of humility.
//Why did Jesus befriend Judas// simple
Is is why did Judas befriend Jesus.
What does it mean to be a friend of the world?
Could means to be like the world, to think like the world, to share its desires, to harbor its ambitions, to display its prejudices and hatreds.
So if others laugh at your errors, laugh with them. Later on, when thinking back, I will laugh at there mistakes anyway,
You see Some people expect me to be loyal to them or agree with them even if it means compromising my values or doing something against my conscience.
Those aren’t true friends.
Do your friends help you to reach your potential, or do you have to lower your standards to fit in with them? Proverbs 13:20 says: He that is walking with wise persons will become wise, but he that is having dealings with the stupid ones will fare badly.
I meet people like you every day, but having a true friend adds a lot to the joy to my living
That is why “he came to be called ‘Jehovah’s friend.’”—James 2:23.

GL...half the time you lose me I'm afraid but I truly hope I am a better person than one who laughs at a friend's mistakes.
My friends don't expect me to agree with them but they can be sure of my loyalty.
I'll reach my own potential without using friends as a means to an end.
Did Jesus not have to deal with stupid people? In what way did he fare badly if he carried out his father's wishes?
