yes, but those epithets could just as easily be derived from religious prejudice as non-religious. My own feeling is that homophobia is more likely to be formed in the playground than in church and, as many many people have shown it can be overcome in both cases.
I don't find this woman dangerous. She has laid out her platform and the electorate can decide. That's democracy. Not laying out your platform is much more dangerous.

A friend of mine is severely disabled due to a hereditary knee problem. She was a church goer & decided to go on one of those Alpha courses. She was told by a leader on the course that she must have done something wrong in a previous life to become so disabled! needless to say she tore a strip-off the leader & has never set foot in a church again.
