Shame on these people for giving the people of the world a miss guided view of what ISlam is. Islam is a religion of peace and love.

Are we being a tad sarcastic here ??
Surely it's wrong to blame an entire religion, followed by many millions of peace loving adherents throughout the world, because of the actions of a few hotheads.
sandyr, we know it's not a few hotheads though don't we, Islam has different interpretations so not just Sunni, Shia, but any offshoot, and those who splinter into their little religious enclaves, all a matter of interpretation which leads Muslim to kill Muslim, so its hardly peaceful, look at Syria as just one example, and many other places
.
I was watching a news item the other day from the UK, where a chap said that they need more mosques, and they wanted the local pub, think it was in High Wycombe, to be converted to a mosque, its currently closed, he said that with 56 thousand followers the amount of mosques they have were totally inadequate, he was a little peevish to say the least, his views, never mind about whether locals want another mosque on their doorstep.

Don't see a lot of publicity for Good Muslims do we, I wonder why?
Good post emmie.
Baldric,good news is no news.
Emmie, there must be disused churches in High Wycombe that the Muslim congregations could buy and convert to mosques.
sandyr, you better than most would know about religion and how it's abused, and used for different factions aims, Muslims are no different.
quite frankly i don't think we want more mosques, but that is my view, we don't seem to be building any churches, unless you consider the little buildings that often house evangelical Christians, and they don't bleat on about how having more and more churches.
"Good image of Islam" - that's very similar to the good image of Vlad the impaler! PMSL
I agree with sandy's first post.
one wonders what Britain will be like in a few years, full to brimming with Mosques, Islamic Schools, and boroughs of the capital and places in England no longer recognisable as England, that green and pleasant land we keep hearing about.
Vlad had his good points.
Now now you will have the right-on PC Brigade after you !
I think we have enough mosques in this country already.
You're losing me now, sandy;-)
well green is the colour of islam emmie, we'll be known as Englandistan.
really, then take a look at this country, never has it been more divided, its a point in question that this religion will be dominant in UK, that others like Christianity will fall by the wayside, that more mosques will invariably be built or converted to house the faithful, that this country that has hand on heart been largely Christian, though i know that as i said is on the wane, won't be one day. Why does it bother me, i only have to look at the capital, and large parts of is is unrecognisable, things change, they always have, but this is a change largely in 50 years or less, and is so rapid that no one has time to take a breath and see the implications for our children and their children.
vlad the impaler, good point x
pc brigade me damned - if some don't agree then there is nothing to stop them from saying so. either in print, on here or shouting it from the roof top, but peaceful religion, no it's not.
billions, not millions, and second only to Christianity, spread right across the globe.
