Zacsmaster a quote from one of the posters in your link Craig Brown "I have several issues with your article. First of all, your headline is grossly misleading your readership by pronouncing as a CERTAINTY "Mysterious' Baltic Sea Object Is a Glacial Deposit". This is not the case.

First of all, the rock samples given to Prof Volker were samples of loose rock from the vicinity of the object and NOT actually part of the object itself.

Secondly Prof Volker has offered a hypothesis and at no point stated as fact that the anomaly "'Is a Glacial Deposit" as you have wrongly suggested"

So inconclusive at this moment in time.

not heard about it before, thanks H for bringing it up. Having looked through the available material I think its safe to say something is there. It will take more investigation and much better imaging to say what. I could not see any evidence for skulls, especially as the video clip concerned lacked any scale. But I can't see why sophisticated super-intelligent aliens would need a staircase in a UFO.....

Any one who hasn't seen 'Star wars' wouldn't give it a second glance. It is strange how sightings of 'aliens' etc. always follow films which feature similar creatures discovered in the minds of set designers.

From a Geologists point of view I don't think this is an alien ship. People have suggested that rock would not deteriorate in such clean cut lines, but if it contains manganese (in the form of pyrolusite) then this is exactly how it would break down as its very brittle. The 'stairs' are nothing more than a wearing down of a softer component and are more likely to be a part of the bigger deposit the 'ship' is sitting on.

So from a geologist's point of view why aren’t they prepared to do proper studies instead of just ‘thinking’? That would surely answer the question once and for all.
