Or satan exists,but he has little interest in mankind.

Or satan is a powerful spirit creature who exerts great influence on mankind.

Because each has its supporters.

When the small child learns to talk he will deluge you with questions: ‘Why does it rain? Where did I come from? Where do the stars go in daytime? What are you doing? Why this? Some (many ?) adults have been known to use lies and half truths to answer some of their kids' questions, for a number of reasons, but often because they don't really know the answer, and so make something plausible up to satisfy the kid.

I think it happens between adults also, on occasion.

No doubt when a child asks goodlife a question the only reply it receives is " you obviously don't know your bible".

Well yes.
For millenniums now the “god of this system of things” has put before each generation of mankind things to worship.

Today in this 21 century he has caused to be set up an object of worldwide worship. No one questions the fact that we are living in a time of world endangerment, when man feel no more than ever the need for organizing all the nations for world peace.

Satan brought up the issue. What was the issue? It was a challenge of God’s supremacy.

I can say No to that, because if a person is supreme in power, who can challenge him on that point with any hope of success.

So who can best answer the questions about God’s permission of challenge? Well, if you were charged with some fault, would you want people to listen to only what others said about it? Or would you want to speak for yourself to clear up the matter in the mind of anyone who sincerely wanted to know?
It is God who is held to be at fault. Since he best knows why he permits it, would it not be fair to let him speak for himself.

Because looking to you for answers will never be satisfying, since often you have conflicting ideas about these matters.

So he allowed a definite period of time that would give man ample opportunity to arrive at the peak of their political, social, industrial and scientific achievements.

That time period could not be just a few days or years. It would take many generations.

And the good thing about it all in the Bible (Hebrews 4:12) for those who want to learn.

In a similar vein, Goodlife asks questions here because, in his view, that's where the sinners are.

'Satan' is both real, and symbolic. Real in the sense that 'he' is experiential, and represents an aspect of our personality, the inner voice which suggests and tempts us do something which we know is wrong, or to give up the struggle towards achievement.
'He' exists too in other religions, in Pali he is called Mara; the inner voice which continually told Buddha to abandon his search for enlightenment.
