Today all earthly governments are facing destruction even at their own hands by highly developed scientific means of warfare. Well-informed commentators on world affairs are themselves warning all of us of the threatening eventuality.

Jolly Good......

Will you be providing details in a lengthy Biblical tract?
So all in all, when it comes to creating man, God was a bit of a failure then. Perhaps he should have started with something simpler - more maybe just taken a bit more time over it. After all there was no imperative that he had to get finished in a week, was there?
I think he had to thechair. The bible wouldn't have sounded so impressive if he faffed around for a month and then called in sick? :-)
Beware The End Of The World Is Nigh.
"Today all earthly governments are facing destruction ".

Have you not watched the news on television, and see what is this world is coming to?
Yes, but your lot said that in 1914 and we're still here.
But it's God who does the destroying (e.g. Sodom and Gomorrah).
ahhhhh.......but the TV could be lying to us.

C'mon....you must be able to give us Chapter and Verse on the matter....

Jackdaw44 @Just goes to show that people do not know their Bible. 1914 was a significant year, its up to you to find out what happened in that year. It was not designated the end of the world, even historians acknowledge that 1914 was significant.
Canary 42@ If you believe in Sodom & Gomorah, that's good. As with all Bible prophecies people had a choice, as did those in S & G - so today, people have a choice. You cannot be sitting on the fence, you have to choose one or the other - for God or be against God.
According to JWs 1914 was the year in which Jesus assumed Kingdom authority from his Father, for which there is no evidence, scriptural or otherwise. When the world did not end in 1914 they changed their tune, describing it as not the end but the beginning of the end.
The jehovah witness obviously believe in man rule. After their 1914 prediction didn't happen, they rewrote their statement to prove themselves correct.
Googling 'Charles Taze Russell' might give you an insight into the founder of the JW cult, by all accounts an adulterer and a fraudster.
Goodlife, //As with all Bible prophecies people had a choice, as did those in S & G - so today, people have a choice.//

And Lot – a righteous man in God’s eyes - made a choice. In order to protect his male guests from the baying mob, he chose to offer his two virgin daughters in their place. I’ve asked you before but I’ll ask you again, where are your moral principles – and where are God’s? I don’t expect an answer. I’ve never received one in the past – presumably because your God’s twisted notion of justice is indefensible.

Well, you never learn. You only believe what you want to believe. One thing is for sure. You will know when God's day comes and not one of you can turn round and say that you "did not know", "no one told me", You only look at the surface and never at the depth.

goodlife cannot answer the question. Jehovah witness believe blood transfusion is so wrong they will conveniently ignore the 5th commandment and commit murder to avoid it. Another example of rearranging the bible to suit their beliefs.
"... after supper He took the cup, and when He had given thanks he said unto them, 'Drink ye all of this, for this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for you and for many for the remission of sins'. How do JWs reconcile that text with their propaganda?
Good life,

If God only wants me around because I worship him and would be prepared to kill my family for him then I would rather die than do so. If he doesn't want me for me then why should I want him?

Come the new kingdom I will be one of those that God forgets.

And because, according to JWs interpretation of the bible, there is no hell and death is just death I will be in a position where I will not care that the world turns without me in it.
