Come on, you can't expect that argument to fly.
Let's say for the sake or argument that the oldest Christian in the world is 100 years old.
That means that everything from 101 years backwards has been handed down, either verbally or in writing - so obviously 'collusion' takes place.
I am happy to accept that you believe that this is the word of God passed down through history - but surely that has to mean that people have interacted together to pass the story on - otherwise how on earth do you, or I, or anyone else know about it?
You can't have it all ways.

Great opinion, naomi... which is just what your tome is. Why don't you give a defnition of 'species', as I asked the intrepid Gromit and let's see which scientist agrees with you...
How does disagreement on a scientific subject by those who are experts he matter not have bearing on our discussion, other than your saying so, of course?

The Bible tells us at
2 Tim. 3:16, 17: “All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.”
That why the Bible has been preserved so that all men can have the Truth.
Go to london museum see the walls reliefs, inscriptions and statues that verify Bible accounts. of Kings of Judah and Israel such as Hezekiah, Manasseh, Omri, Ahab, Pekah, Menahem and Hoshea appear on cuneiform records of Assyrian rulers.
King Jehu or one of his emissaries is depicted on the Black Obelisk of Shalmaneser as paying tribute. The decor of the Persian palace of Shushan, as the Biblical characters Mordecai and Esther knew it, has been re-created for observation today.
Statues of the early Roman Caesars, Augustus, Tiberius and Claudius, who appear in Bible accounts, can also be viewed . (Luke 2:1) even a silver denarius coin, has been found that bears the image of Tiberius Caesar—a coin Jesus asked for when discussing the matter of taxes.
Something else that identifies the Bible as coming from God is the honesty of its writers. It is contrary to imperfect human nature to admit mistakes or failures, especially in writing. Most ancient writers reported only their successes and virtues.
Yes you can believe trust the Bible, If you really examine what it says, and do not simply accept what certain ones claim that it says, you will find reason to trust it.

Clanad, it doesn’t matter whether or not any particular scientist agrees with my definition of ‘species’, so nit-picking and going around the houses is pointless. The fact is on production of evidence contrary to its current findings science is willing to change its opinion whereas, regardless of the evidence presented, religion is not. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?
I thought you might say that but haven't quite come up with a reply yet. All the same I still think my point stands, because the definition of species is more about where you put an essentially arbitrary line whose position hardly invalidates the underlying theory. The problem is that species are somewhat discreet things at least as an attempt to define them in words, but the diversity life is sadly somewhat closer to continuous, making the concept of a species difficult to define without some level of grey areas.
Put another way, the argument over the definition of species is like fussing about whether some quantity should be measured between 10 and 20 or 11 and 19, but (admittedly not being an expert in the field) I can't see how those arbitrary lines will affect the underlying theory. Alternatively, it's like trying to define precisely something whose basic scale is measured in miles when your only tape measure is ten feet long.

We do not despair over world conditions because we understand why war, wickedness, exists and we know that it will soon be wiped off the earth.
It frees us from false teachings, atheism, the dead, and cannot harm us, that they are not suffering or eternal torment, yes the truth about the condition of the dead.
Bible truth can transform a person’s thinking and personality, resulting in freedom from avoidable problems, money, time, avoiding drunkenness, sexual immorality, tobacco, drugs addictive etc.
Yes is promotes good health.—Prov. 7:21-23.
