Why Should God Appear/exist At All?
217 Answers
I asked this in naomi's 'Atheist Authors' thread, below, in response to khandro's query.
He did what all good religionists do and ignored it, so thought I'd put it out here.
Religionists....WHY does your God exist?

Nailit - you write "Never understood how believing in one, uncreated life form, somehow explains the existance of other life forms."
One uncreated. Other life forms? What type are you saying they are?
Created? Then that means there is a creator.
If they are also "uncreated" what point are you trying to make?

This God, or uncreated lifeform, has existed from eternity unto eternity right? (presumably happy with itself) And all of a sudden decides to create a finite existance on what we call Earth. And on this Earth, nature is red in tooth and claw. And created people on this Earth disagree about the nature of this 'creator' and kill each other because of it. And we are all supposed to believe in this creator because he his perfect. But if we have the wrong belief we will
a) burn in hell
b) be annhilihated
c) be reincarnated to try again
d) other (fill in your own missing religious blank....Im not doing it for you)

Cosmic goo and amino acid beginning, existence on earth believing in nothing except what you can see and touch, followed by oblivion. Or
Created by God, existence on earth believing in a higher being and that we are here for a purpose. Realising that not everything can be scientifically proved and (hopefully) followed by everlasting life.
Take your pick.
