Jehovah's Witnesses On The Streets !

Earlier this week, I made a rare visit to a McDonalds for lunch and I noticed a large free-standing perspex leaflet holder standing outside in the pouring rain, full of JW stuff. Inside, in some seats closest to the door were some obviously JW-looking people. Perhaps I don't go to McDonalds often enough but I have never seen that before !
And today I saw something similar outside my local Lidl ! On both occasions they appeared to be having no takers but I did wonder if this meant that we will not be plagued so often in our own houses on a Saturday morning ?

I've said before, I admire the JWs dogmatic persistence against what must surely be a daunting task of getting abuse and door slammed in the face.
Why not a simple "No thank you" and close the door.
A couple of years ago I was in Sydney and was amazed at how often we were accosted by JWs out in shopping Malls. That was getting annoying. That was when staying friendly became a hard task, and I felt sorry afterwards for losing my cool.

They are good people. They have been knocking on my door for nearly forty years. We have debated theological concepts over tea and biscuits many times. I've Seen them come and go. All mean well. I've been to one of the large yearly congregations. But it is not for me, and never will be. They deserve top marks for tenacity. After all from thier perspective they are saving your soul.

The Bible does speaks about practical jokes. playing of such “jokes” that result in embarrassment, injury and perhaps even loss of life, is not really considering the welfare of others.
No, the Bible states: “Just like someone mad that is shooting fiery missiles, arrows and death, so is the man that has tricked his fellow man and has said: ‘Was I not having fun?’” No one who values God’s viewpoint wants to be classed with “someone mad.”—Prov. 26:18, 19.
